We had a miscommunication between the editor and the secretary, so the minutes for July are not available. However, the meeting isn’t too hard to reconstruct.

WizCom gave us a presentation on their various scanning pens, with the emphasis on the QuickLink pen. The presenter in the photo at right, Ron Jabera, gave a presentation that was good enough to convince a number of members to purchase the various versions of the pen at the meeting.

The pen was quite accurate in capturing text one line at a time from various documents used in the demonstration. See the review of the pen in this newsletter.

In the drawing, Mary Sheridan won a QuickLink pen and Merle Nicholson won the Quicklink T– shirt with his ticket.

Paper notebooks, ballpoint pens and Microsoft T-shirts were given out. All thanks to Microsoft.

Before the presentation, we had our usual Windows discussion. Among the topics of interest was computer security.

Jenny Leitzke brought in several older computers for members to take whatever hardware they wanted from them. u
