The deed has been done. We are now owners of an excellent Proxima 9210 projector thanks to all the contributors. We had it in time to use it for the last meeting, and what a wonderful display it has! You definitely have to see it to believe the quality and brightness of the screen.
So the fund is officially closed. I announced the impending closure of the fund at the August meeting and have since gotten some last minute money in. It was needed. Thanks.
Most of the contributors asked to remain anonymous. Everyone will get a letter and receipt for tax purposes. Most of those are mailed out, but if you dont have yours yet, just be patient.
I do want to recognize three businesses for their very generous contributions. They are:
RDI-TampaBay Steven Singer
L&M Graphic Designs Mike Huchinson
Fort Knox Security Systems John Witmer family
We got a very timely opportunity to get this system used from a rental company going out of business. The tip came from member Tom Cone. William LaMartin met Mike Hodges and Wade Herman there and tested it on a notebook. They also decided to pick up a projection screen. It comes in a large bulletproof suitcase. We still must discuss buying a replacement bulb or reserving the money for it, as they are very expensive: not less than $350 apparently.
So a special thanks goes to William, Mike, Wade and Tom for jumping on the deal and getting it accomplished so quickly.
And a very special thanks goes to all the people who contributed money. You have made our club much more viable and versatile. Thanks to all. u
