History was made September 11, 1998 when Congress released the Independent Counsel’s Report to the world via the Internet. The Congressional servers were jammed at first, but other organizations, like Yahoo, CNN, and most major newspapers, made the report available at their sites, so within a few hours anyone that wanted to view or download it could. The report was 840 KB in size. A 243KB zipped version is available at our site.
